Suburban Clock at the Cleveland Mini Maker Faire!

Our customer, Suburban Clock and Repair, in partnership with ANALOG arts, will be presenting an exhibit at the Cleveland Mini Maker Faire on March 29th, 2014 10AM - 6PM at the Cleveland Public Library Main Branch. (325 Superior Ave., N.E. Cleveland, OH 44114)

The Maker Faire is described as the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth. It's a place were "Makers" display their work in almost anything you can imagine... including the arts, robotics, 3D printing, models, home automation, amateur space exploration, green technologies, etc. Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers. They are of all ages and backgrounds. The aim of Maker Faire is to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community.

Suburban Clock was asked to participate this year exhibiting the work of living and working clockmakers. The art and science of making clocks is one that spans centuries. Today, there are living and working wood carvers, cabinet makers, and machinists who build mechanical clocks as objets-d'art. These clockmakers produce mechanical clocks as living objects that move and sound as they have for centuries.

Suburban Clock will be exhibiting the work of these living and working clock makers. There will even be some clockmakers from the Cleveland area on hand to talk about their work and process.
