L'Epee 1839 has done it again. A collaboration was formed between the legendary clockmaker and the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. L'Epee presents its masterpieces as a Fantasia on the work of the Dutch visionary.   The opening exhibition of this collection will make its full debut at The Gallery by the Harbour from 6th May, 2016 to 29th May, 2016, approved and endorsed by the curators of the Van Gogh Museum. Van Gogh Art de Sweets, the first Van Gogh F&B brand in the world, will also make its debut in Hong Kong during the exhibition. This is a very special clock case - elegant, classic. The arches and fluted columns recall Romanesque architecture. I was able to see this display at the Frick last Summer. There are some really great historical examples of horology. There are some very early pieces on display, including a couple French-Revolution era pieces with " Decimal Time. Our customer,  Suburban Clock and Repair , in partnership with ANALOG arts , will be presenting an exhibit at the Cleveland Mini Maker Faire on March 29th, 2014 10AM - 6PM at the Cleveland Public Library Main Branch. (325 Superior Ave., N.E. Cleveland, OH 44114) The Maker Faire is described as the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth. It's a place were "Makers" display their work in almost anything you can imagine... including the arts, robotics, 3D printing, models, home automation, amateur space exploration, green technologies, etc. Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers. I love visiting "TrumpeterMan" and his shop and personal collection of fantastic Black Forest and Viennese artifacts! He maintains an astounding collection of Black Forest Trumpeter Clocks, Flute Clocks, Carillon Clocks, musical Vienna Regulators, Picture Frame Clocks (with animation and music), Whistling Bird Automata, Musical Chairs (real carved ones), Cuckoo Clocks... I mean, it's really unbelievable! Here, he cares for the heritage and Golden Age of the Black Forest Clock Industry. I was able to take some snapshots of his shop and collection, and he has a YouTube channel .
